Job Description
Hospitality Talents, a recruitment agency specialized in Hospitality profiles, is currently looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager for our client, a leading hospitality group in Belgium.
As Assistant Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the renovation projects of 2 hotels (Gent + Antwerp), ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, budget, and timeline.

- Strategic Advisory and Support
- Collaborate with the client to define needs and develop comprehensive renovation programs.
- Analyze and monitor technical, regulatory, and budgetary constraints.
- Provide expert advice on design and layout choices that align with the hotel’s brand identity.
- Develop specifications and oversee tenders for architects, design firms, and contractors.
- Project Management and Coordination
- Plan and monitor all project phases, from design to execution and delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, design firms, contractors, and local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with administrative permits and applicable standards (safety, accessibility, environment).
- Monitor suppliers’ contractual obligations.
- Budgetary and Financial Oversight
- Validate the preliminary budget and track costs throughout the project.
- Review financial proposals from suppliers and manage addenda.
- Provide financial reporting to the client and optimize costs.
- Manage and track subsidy applications.
- Time and Quality Management
- Develop a detailed project schedule and monitor deadlines weekly.
- Anticipate and manage risks, unforeseen circumstances, and site safety.
- Ensure work complies with defined quality standards.
- Participate in the delivery of the works and follow up on the completion of remarks.
Skills Required
Candidate Profile
- Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in engineering, architecture, urban planning, or real estate project management.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in AMO, project management, or real estate management in the hotel sector.
- Deep knowledge of construction regulations and hotel standards.
- Skills and Attributes
- Fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in project management tools and budget management software (MS Project, Excel, BIM, etc.).
- Passion for new trends in the hotel sector and interior design.
