The Distribution & Revenue Assistant will work with the Head of Revenue to develop and implement the connectivity strategy and revenue optimisation. In this position you are responsible for implementing connectivity to our third-party partners and ensuring we are displaying rates, inventory, restrictions and content correctly in all third party systems. This position is analytical and technical in nature as well as a contact person for hotels and partners.

 

The following exciting tasks await you:

  • Contact for the hotels around all concerns of interfaces to channel manager, booking engine and PMS reservation systems
  • Assist in setting up new hotel data including adding properties to OTA’s, descriptions, images, and availability across all approved channels as applicable
  • Monitor descriptions and images on all contracted channels and update hotel content as needed on all approved electronic channels
  • Autonomous supervision of projects, such as the system integration of new hotels during the hotel onboarding process
  • Become a Distribution connectivity system expert using connectivity tools: Channel Managers, Booking Engines and all custom connectivity systems
  • Identifies appropriate new website opportunities in respective geographical markets
  • Responsible for the implementation of revenue management methods in order to maximize the turnover in accordance with hotel strategies and hoteliers needs
  • Responsible for having all the revenue management processes in place in the hotel, implementing the strategy on daily basis, updates planning and alerts the head of revenue when market deviates from strategy
  • Identify opportunities for incremental revenue through analysis different market segments and distribution channels
  • Troubleshoot, support and correct connectivity issues
  • Analyse results and makes recommendations to head of revenue
  • Create and maintain Distribution Connectivity documentation such as training manuals, “how to” documents, and checklists
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Skills Required

Optimally, you bring along the following:

  • Preferably experience in hotel support with one of the common providers of hotel systems
  • Reliability, goal-orientation, organizational skills
  • Self-initiative and motivation
  • Enjoying people and working in a small team
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Very good German and English language skills in spoken and written, French is a plus
  • Level of Education Bachelor / Licence
  • Areas of study Hospitality Management, Computer Information Systems or equivalent education and experience
  • A clear understanding of hotel industry is necessary as well as analytical capabilities, experience in study cases, market research and studies with mathematical background
  • Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A first experience with distribution systems, central reservation systems, content systems, online travel agencies is a plus
  • Experience in hospitality operations is a plus
