Opening in early 2025, The Standard, Brussels marks the hotel brand’s third outpost in Europe. Set in the city’s Northern Quarter, The Standard, Brussels brings the brand’s design, culture, and activation-driven philosophy to Belgium.

With 180 guestrooms (plus 20 residences), the modern, new-build project features many stages for The Standard’s renowned day- and nightlife. A ground-floor greenhouse welcomes guests and locals into the lobby lounge, restaurant, and terrace. Upstairs, The Rooftop features its own restaurant, bar, and garden—set to become a neighbourhood destination. Throughout the building, additional public and private event spaces are platforms for happenings.

The Standard, Brussels will welcome a new set of creative, dynamic guests into the brand ethos. Compétences

Your Role

As our Marketing & Culture Coordinator, you will support our Marketing Director and work in partnership with our senior team to deliver a diverse range of marketing initiatives and services for the hotel. As we gear up for the opening of our third European property, you will support the local marketing plan and assist in the development of key neighborhood and Brussels based partnerships and collaborations. As well as supporting in the delivery of a range of events, programming and cultural activations as we bring The Standard to Brussels.

You’ll act as a community manager for our social channels where you’ll post, share and respond to comments and messages in the Standard tone-of-voice. You’ll work with our global team to amplify these efforts on a paid and organic basis and help create engaging and exciting social content.
On a day-to-day basis you will support the wider Hotel, Restaurants and Bars with promotional campaigns and be the point of contact for all flyers, signs, promotional emails and assist in the creation of in-house collateral and materials.

This is not a ‘Standard’ Marketing & Culture Coordinator role so you will need to have serious stamina and passion, be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and handle pressure well; thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team.

Profil du Candidat

Do you have what it takes to be our Marketing & Culture Coordinator at The Standard, Brussels?

  • Ideally, you have at least 2+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • You don’t need a hospitality background, but you do need passion. Marketing, social media, hospitality, and of course, culture (music, art, film, etc.) Enthusiasm is mandatory.
  • You’re a self-starter and can work independently
  • You’re creative and have an eye for detail
  • Clear, confident writing skills and the ability to create copy for a number of uses
  • You’re bilingual and have a good knowledge of French and English (reading, writing, and speaking), Dutch is a plus
  • A Creative thinker with the ability to develop and deliver engaging marketing campaigns and ideas, whilst being savvy with your resources and a creative problem solver.
  • Experience and keen interest in social media and digital platforms for marketing usage
  • Ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • You’re not afraid of the hustle. We are a small team, so for the most part, it’s an all-hands-on-deck environment. Success at The Standard means rolling up your sleeves and embracing what comes your way with, so enthusiasm is mandatory, and while you need to be self-motivated you are also a team player.
  • During our pre-opening and opening period, you may need to have a flexible approach to working hours.
  • You are super organized, an amazing planner and able to manage lots of projects at once while seamlessly handling inbound requests from colleagues and leaders.
